I'm referring to the version of tech adoption cycles commonly associated with McKenna and Geoffrey Moore's books Crossing the Chasm etc.

Also, this is a multi-sided "market", so the model applies differently on the user side and the developer/vendor side. It's possible we are further along on the user side than the developer/vendor side.

Do you think there's one more category though. I started out on the internet in the nineties, shell servers, Usenet MUDS etc.

Then I moved on the IRC, ICQ, not so much AOL, but you get my drift.

I'm just a user but I travelled many roads before My space was a Twinkle in Chris or Tom's eye.

I'm a sexagenarian craftsman, but I use #Matrix, #XMPP and #Nostr as well as #mastodon.

PWAs are not hard to switch :)
