Shoutout to @jaz for suggesting the FediDB Popular Accounts list should show full federation accounts by default, while allowing you to see the full rankings from read-only platforms like Threads!

FediDB is an essential service to the fediverse, and while I appreciate the success, I do understand the need for redundancy, transparency and continuity.

We should have multiple FediDBs, and they should be able to ingest/process/relay data accordingly.

So I'm going to build this, later this year once I catch up with Sup, Loops, PubKit and Groups.

@noellemitchell Right now that, plus #Bluesky's public numbers, followed by #FediDB numbers over time are likely the best sources of info on the Brazil X/TwitterMigration.

btw, you may notice a huge uptick of stats on https://fedidb.org

this is because I removed the ban from pawoo.net, baraag.net and pravda.me, and their stats are now included in the totals

I am working on a new real-time user count and a new fediverse map section, they are pretty cool and will be rolling out later today!

The total fediverse MAU on https://fedidb.org does not include Misskey (which would give a noticeable boost)

Updated https://fedidb.org software versions to more clearly indicate you can filter software by version to see exactly which servers run a specific version!
