The #NYTimes ( @nytimes) doesn't understand what "confounds" means. Dems are not confounded by Vance's rhetoric. They understand it but denounce, refute, and ridicule it.

By contrast. Trump and Vance are confounded by #Harris and #Walz. They're floundering for an effective line of attack.
