Folks will say: "This is NOT in the bag, #Kamala is still an underdog." Or "don't get to excited, Hillary won both her debates with Trump," or that "debates don't tend to move polls much. Or "we have so much work to still do," and you know what, each of those statements are 100 percent true.

But I wonder if this time is different, as so many anti-MAGA voters not yet pro-Kamala were just wanting to see what made Kamala tick in a real-time, high-stakes event like this. And if she had what it would take to stand up to and be strong against a force like Trump. And she sliced him up and sent him away a weak, dangerous, crazy, and old man.

And I wonder what the next 48 hours does - how Trump reacts as I can't recall I'm ever being this beaten down publicly, or this humiliated, and by a black woman, who he had spent weeks calling dumb. How a wounded Trump reacts could be very impactful to the few undecided.

Also, take a break, maybe a day or half-day to enjoy this moment.

There are so many hard & disappointing things in progressive fights. Savor this. (And then after a short break, let's get to work. We have a democracy to save.)
