@pluralistic Been musing on the spread of enshittification since I heard James Meadway use it on the (excellent) Macrodose podcast to describe the impacts of climate change: not as some epochal break, but as a general, relatively slow enshittening of our lives. I was wary of this broadening (dilution?), but I take your point about this as a feature not a bug. Also, I think it could be a helpful alternative to the "everything will be fine" vs "the world's gonna end" dichotomy
