@pluralistic He’s such a curious thinker. His analysis of our paralysis and why defending an unpopular status quo is electoral disaster rings true and necessary, but his explanation of the causes seems like utter balderdash. The 60’s counterculture? Anti-statist thinking dominating the liberal left? I don’t buy it, and I don’t trust the other products in the store that’s selling it.
