What happens when #antitrust worldwide is too weak, and the largest organizations rely on a handful of contracting giants?
#IT#Outage and future catastrophes as when one company goes offline, it cascades across all sectors. Companies like Crowdstrike, Microsoft are, in the words of @pluralistic: "too big to care" to fix things. Improving reliability simply is an unnecessary expense when they know customers will keep running to them, since there's little choice.

In 2021, the Biden admin published an "executive order on competition, laying out a 72-point program for using existing powers vested in the administrative agencies to break up corporate power and get the monopolist's boot off Americans' necks:"
"The Competition EO is basically a checklist...
"...and Biden's agency heads have been racing down it, ticking off box after box on or ahead of schedule, making meaningful technical changes in how companies are allowed to operate, each one designed to make material improvements to the lives of Americans."
